How to charge the batteries of these vehicles has become a big problem. BMW, as the company that launched electric models earlier among luxury brands, has also made achievements in wireless charging. The BMW wireless charging option includes an inductive charging base that can be installed in the garage or outdoors, and an auxiliary charging component fixed to the bottom of the vehicle. When there is a vehicle with matching charging parts on the base, a magnetic field will be generated. The charging equipment on the vehicle can induce current and then charge the battery. As a luxury brand as famous as BMW, Audi has also established its own wireless charging system.

In addition, the high cost of wireless charging of electric vehicles at this stage needs to be solved urgently. Wireless charging is still demanding for the charging environment. According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 30 equipment suppliers engaged in wireless charging at home and abroad, including ZTE new energy, Huawei Technology, Zhonghui Chuangzhi, Xiamen Xinye, WiTricity, etc. In terms of automobile enterprises, mainstream automobile enterprises such as SAIC Roewe, BYD and BAIC new energy have also carried out R & D and testing of electric vehicle wireless charging system.

Nevertheless, there is no mass production model supporting wireless charging in the domestic market.
